What is the Lite license?
The Lite license is an add-on CMMS product. The Lite license grants access to the simplified operator portal designed for users who only need basic access to CMMS functions.
Admins and account owners purchase add-on Lite licenses and assign these to their operators instead of a full, standard license. Once these Lite users are set up, then the Admin can assign work to the Lite user group so that work is available in the operator portal.
When a user has a Lite license, they log in to the CMMS and see the operator portal instead of the standard CMMS. In the portal, Lite users can only see the assets, work orders, and tasks their Admin has assigned to them.
Who is the Lite license for?
Lite licenses are for organizations and users that perform regular checks and inspection tasks. These operators are performing important work, but they don't need access to the entire CMMS. The Lite license and operator portal have been designed these operators in mind. Lite users can access only what they need – the assets, work orders, and tasks assigned to them – through the operator portal once they've been assigned a Lite license.
How do I purchase and set up Lite licenses?
If you're an Admin, account owner, or decision maker for your team, adding Lite licenses to your existing plan requires contacting your Fiix representative. Your representative will help navigate the purchase process and set up your Lite users.
To purchase and begin using Lite licenses:
- Contact your Fiix representative to add Lite licenses to your plan.
- Log in to your CMMS and assign the Lite license to a user or add a new Lite license user.
- Assign the Lite user to the Lite users user group.
- Assign assets, work orders, and tasks to the Lite user or the Lite user user group.
- The Lite user then logs on at their organization's URL (e.g. yourorganization.macmms.com) and will see the operator portal instead of the standard CMMS.
What plans can get Lite licenses?
Basic, Professional, and Enterprise plans can add Lite licenses and the operator portal to their existing plan. To add Lite licenses to your plan, contact your Fiix representative.
What can Lite license users do?
Lite license users access the operator portal instead of the standard CMMS, where they can:
- View assets and any open work orders assigned to operators
- Complete tasks on work orders
- Add attachments to work orders
- Change a work order's status
In the operator portal, Lite users can't:
- Access multiple locations or sites
- Add or use parts
- Add completion notes or time spent on tasks
- Change asset status (set assets offline)
- See work order history or closed work orders
- Access any other features of the standard CMMS
