This article only describes how to add a single asset to a work order. To see how to add multiple assets to a multi-asset work order, see Create a multi-asset work order.
Adding an asset to a work order indicates which asset the work order should be performed on.
To add an asset to a work order:
- If the work order you want to add an asset to isn't already open, click it in the work order list (in Maintenance > Work Orders).
- Click the arrow next to the Asset field to select the asset the work order is being performed on:

Click Save in the top menu bar.
Note
You can change the assigned asset on the work order; however, the new asset must belong to the same site as the original asset. Assets from a different site cannot be selected.
