A work order status indicates where the work order is in your organization's workflow. If you want to create a custom work order status that isn't already in the CMMS, you can do so in CMMS Settings.
To create a new work order status:
- Navigate to Settings > CMMS Settings.
- Click the Lookup Tables tab.
- In the Work Order Statuses table, click the Add icon:
- Enter a name for the new status and select its control:
Note
A control is a larger category of statuses. For example, the Active control includes the Open, Assigned, and Work In Progress statuses. If you filter for active work orders, all work orders with any of those statuses will be displayed.
- Click OK.
- Click Save in the top menu bar.
