Before you begin
Version: v5 (what does this mean?)
Plans: Enterprise
Failure codes allow you to identify and track trends across your work orders. They use the standard problem, cause, and action framework to identify what went wrong with an asset, why it happened, and what was done to correct it.
To enable failure codes:
- Navigate to Settings > CMMS Settings.
- Click the Maintenance and Work Order tab.
- Select the Enable Failure Codes checkbox:
- (Optional) To allow technicians to view closed work orders that were assigned the same problem code, select the Allow technicians to view previous work orders with a similar failure code checkbox:
- Click Save.
Once you've enabled failure codes, you can start creating codes to assign to work orders. You can also configure nesting rules to limit which codes can be assigned to which assets.
