Before you begin
Once created, a custom field appears on all work orders.

If needed, you can create custom fields for a work order to store information that may not fit the supplied default fields.
To create a custom field for a work order:
- Navigate to a work order.
- Click the Custom tab:
- Click Add custom field:
- Enter a name (how the field is referred to within the system, with no spaces or special characters) and label (the text displayed in the work order form) for the custom field:
- Select the type of field to be created:
- Click OK.
The custom field now exists on all work orders.
