To view any newly-created custom fields or updates to custom fields in the mobile app, you must log out of the app and log in again.
Custom fields allow you to add additional information about work orders, beyond the standard fields that your CMMS provides.
To add custom fields to a work order:
- If the work order you want to add a custom field isn't already open, click it in the work order list (in Maintenance > Work Orders).
- Click the Custom tab.
- Click Add Custom Field.
- Give the field a name and label:
The name is how the system refers to that field in the database, and it must start with a letter and not contain spaces. The label is how you'll see the field in the CMMS.
Note
Field names must begin with a letter and contain only letters, digits, or underscores. No spaces are allowed.
- Select a type for your custom field from the Type drop-down list:
- Click OK.
- If needed, fill in the custom field.
- Click Save in the top menu bar.
The custom field will display in the tab.
