To record a work order's costs, you must set:
- An hourly rate for the users who worked on the work order
- The unit price of parts used on the work order
You'll be able to view any costs spent in the Work Log tab:
Set an hourly rate for users
If you want to view labor costs, you will need to set an hourly rate for the users who worked on the work order. To do this:
- Navigate to Settings > Users.
- Select the user you want to set an hourly rate for.
- In the Account tab, fill in the Hourly Rate field:
- Click Save.
Work orders will now display the labor costs for this user in the work log. The amount is calculated with the user's hourly rate and their hours on completed tasks.
Set a unit price for parts
- Navigate to Supplies > Parts and Supplies.
- Select the part you want to set a unit price for.
- In the Stock tab, fill in the Last Price field:
- Click Save.
Work orders will now display the costs for this part in the work log. The amount is calculated with the part's unit price and the number of parts used on the work order.
