Parts can be deleted, but only when they aren't associated with certain records. If a part is associated with an open work order, receipt, or asset-associated BOM group, then it can't be deleted until these associations are removed. However we don't always recommend deleting the part from all of its associated records, and instead there are multiple next steps to choose from.
In this article:
Delete parts
- Navigate to Supplies > Parts and Supplies.
- Hover over the part to delete and click the delete () icon.
- In the pop-up confirmation box, click OK:
- If you receive an error, the part may be associated with a record and can't be deleted. Refer to the table below.

Next steps are options for you to select if the part can't be deleted due to its current associations. For users working with large numbers of parts and associations, we suggest working closely with your Fiix representative.
