Overview
In order to consume fractions of Parts and Supplies, some adjustments need to be made to the standard configuration of a Parts and Supplies record.
1. To start, the name of the Parts and Supplies item must describe the item, indicate the amount, and the unit of measure.
2. In the following example, there are 40, 1(L) units of motor oil. The Quantity on Hand represents how many 1(L) units of motor oil are available to consume.
3. The Last Price is the price per unit.
4. The Last Price was calculated by dividing the Quantity on Hand by the total cost of the item
In this case:
$194.80/40 units
=$4.87 per unit
