Version: v5 (what does this mean?)
Plans: All
Audience: Administrators and users assigned to the default Logistics user group.
If you no longer need a stock record, but it can't be deleted, you might be able to deactivate it.
Deactivating stock prevents users from accidentally consuming it, especially in cases where the stock or stock location can't be deleted.
Stock can be deactivated if:
- If the quantity on hand is 0
- It’s not associated with any of the following items:
- Active scheduled maintenance
- Open purchase orders
- Open work orders
- Open cycle counts
- Receipts
If these conditions aren't met, the stock can't be deactivated.
