Before you begin
- Fiix MAX is currently in beta and is only available to our testers.
- Fiix MAX is intended to assist with decision-making but cannot replace it. Verify its responses before carrying anything out, especially for safety-critical work.
Fiix Maintenance Assistant Experience (MAX) draws from a combination of your Fiix knowledge base (data and files from your CMMS) and trusted external resources (our Help Center articles) to respond to a wide variety of questions and queries.
Supported conversation topics can be grouped into three main categories:
- Your assets' maintenance procedures and recommendations
- Your CMMS records (assets, work orders, etc.)
- General maintenance concepts and the Fiix app
Fiix MAX can respond with summarization and simple calculations (e.g. When were the last two work orders closed?) but cannot analyze information (e.g. Compare the close-rate trend month-over-month for the past year). It does not create any new records or information and answers questions only by referencing existing resources.
Ask about your assets' maintenance
Fiix MAX can answer asset-specific questions about maintenance procedures and recommendations. To answer these questions, it uses information from your Fiix knowledge base—specifically, your uploaded documents and maintenance histories (completed work orders, tasks, etc.).
For example, you could ask questions like the following:
- My Toyota forklift is making a clicking noise from the hydraulic pump. How do I fix it?
- How do I perform annual maintenance for my boiler at the Milwaukee site?
- What safety measures should be taken before operating the Toyota forklift?
- What should I do if the bearings are running too hot?
Note
Fiix MAX currently respects the site and page permissions of the user and will not answer questions about assets that the user does not have access to, nor will it display these assets as suggestions.
Fiix MAX's maintenance answers are only as good as the information in your Fiix knowledge base. In other words, the more information you provide, the better the answers will be. For best results, we recommend uploading at least one document for each of your assets, and providing detailed summaries, descriptions, and completion notes for your work orders and tasks.
Ask about your CMMS records
Instead of navigating the app to view specific records and data, you can ask Fiix MAX to access or summarize them. Currently, Fiix MAX can answer fact-based questions about the following major features:
| App feature | Description | Exclusions |
|---|---|---|
| Work orders | All fields and information in Maintenance > Work Orders and each individual work order, aside from those in Exclusions. |
|
| Scheduled maintenance | All fields and information in Maintenance > Scheduled Maintenance and each individual scheduled maintenance page, aside from those in Exclusions. |
|
| Assets |
All fields and information in All Assets, Facilities, Equipment, and Tools as well as each individual asset page. Does not include items listed in Exclusions. Note: While asset files are within scope for Fiix MAX, it can only retrieve information from text-based files that are compatible with OCR (Optical Character Recognition), such as TXT, PDF, and DOCX files. |
|
| BOM Groups | All fields and information in Supplies > Bill Of Materials Groups. | N/A |
| Parts |
Certain information in Supplies > Parts And Supplies, which only includes:
|
|
Note
- Fiix MAX can also refer users to any shared Analytics dashboards when answering questions. However, it cannot link directly to any dashboards and will instead provide a link to the relevant Help Center article on how to access the dashboard.
- Fiix MAX currently respects the site and page permissions of the user and will not answer questions about assets that the user does not have access to, nor will it display these assets as suggestions.
- Fiix MAX can only access compatible files on assets, but not files on other types of records.
These questions may look like the following:
- Which assets are currently offline at the Toronto site?
- Are there any work orders associated with those assets?
- What are the most recently created SMs for the boiler?
- What was the maintenance type of the boiler's 3 most recently closed work orders?
For best results, include the asset name, site, date range, record type, or status you want Fiix MAX to use. For example, instead of asking “Which work orders are overdue?” ask “Which work orders are overdue for forklifts at the Milwaukee site?"
To answer these questions, Fiix MAX retrieves data directly from your CMMS, and responds with the requested values and records. Answers containing multiple records are displayed in a list or table view.
Note
These questions may have a longer loading time (up to 90 seconds or more). Very rarely, some questions may cause MAX to time out. If this happens, please try again later.Ask about general maintenance and Fiix
Fiix MAX can also respond to general questions about maintenance concepts and the Fiix app so you don't have to search for answers manually. These questions are not specific to your assets and CMMS, and Fiix MAX answers them by referring to trusted external resources (our Help Center articles).
For example, you could ask:
- How do I close a work order in the mobile app?
- What does FIFO mean?
- What is a nested PM in scheduled maintenance?
