Assign an asset category to a task group

You can assign one or more asset categories to a task group. Afterwards, the task group be will included on the following:

• Scheduled maintenance records associated with an asset with the same asset category
• Work orders created with the same asset category
• Work orders updated to have the same asset category

To assign an asset category to a task group:

1. In Maintenance > Task Groups, open the task group you want to assign an asset category to. 
2. Click the Asset Category tab:
    
3. Click the Add () button in the bottom left of the list:
   
4. Search for a type in the Asset Category field, or click the drop-down to view all the available types.
5. Select an asset category. For this example, we will be selecting Vehicles:
   
6. Click OK.
7. Repeat steps 3-5 for any other asset categories you want to assign.
8. Once done, click OK.
   The selected asset categories have been assigned to your task group.
