Before you begin
Version: v5 and v6 (what does this mean?)
Plans: All plans
This article goes through the process of adding attachments to a task group as a whole. If you would like to add attachments to specific tasks in the group, see Edit existing tasks in a task group.
Attachments allow you to add additional information, such as user guides or images, to your task group.
There are three types of attachments:
- Files, which get saved directly in the task group. For example, you could upload a PDF version of a user guide, or an image of a malfunction.
- Links, which allow you to direct users to information that's already been uploaded to the web. For example, you could link to an instructional video from the asset manufacturer's website.
- Notes, which allow you to add any additional information about the task group.
Any task group attachments are automatically added to work orders or scheduled maintenance when they are associated with the task group. You can see these in the record's Files tab.
However, if you add any new attachments to a task group or make changes to its existing attachments, these changes will not be reflected in records that are already associated with the task group. You must make your changes through Maintenance > Work Orders or Maintenance > Scheduled Maintenance instead.
