There are three ways you can mark a task as complete using the mobile app:
-
Complete a task with details, which allows you to input additional notes and specify how long the task took to complete. Inspection tasks must be completed with details.
-
Quick complete, which allows you to close multiple general and text tasks at once.
-
Swipe to complete, which allows you to quickly mark individual tasks as complete, directly from the task list.
To learn more about tasks in general (including the color-coding and task type icons), see View tasks on a work order.
This method of completing a task is best for when you want to add additional notes or specify how long you spent completing the task. You can also use this method to log work against a task without marking it as complete.
To complete a task with details:
-
In the feature menu, tap Work Orders.
-
Select a work order.
-
Tap Tasks.
-
Tap the Log work button for the task you want to complete:
The icon on this button differs based on task type. To learn more, see View tasks on a work order.
-
If the task already has work logged against it, you can click View previously logged work button to see more details.
-
Depending on which type of task you're completing, do one of the following:
-
For general and text tasks, record the time spent and task notes.
-
For meter reading tasks, record the reading, time spent, and task notes.
-
For inspection tasks, select Pass, Fail, or N/A (if enabled) from the drop-down list. Then record the time spent and task notes.

This method of completing tasks is best for when you want to quickly mark all of your general and text tasks as complete.
Unlike completing a task with details, this method doesn't allow you to record time spent or notes. Instead, it records the estimated time as the time spent. For example, if the estimated time for the task was 4 hours, the app would record 4 hours as the time spent completing the task.
To complete tasks with quick complete:
-
In the feature menu, tap Work Orders.
-
Select a work order.
-
Tap Tasks.
-
Tap Quick complete:

In the warning that appears, tap OK:
This method of completing a task is best for when you want to quickly mark individual tasks as complete. You can also use it alongside the other methods. For example, you could use quick complete to close off all your general and text tasks, and then use swipe to complete for any meter reading tasks.
As with the quick complete method, this method doesn't allow you to record time spent or notes. Instead, it records the estimated time as the time spent. For example, if the estimated time for the task was 4 hours, the app would record 4 hours as the time spent completing the task.
