Before you begin
Asset Risk Predictor must be purchased separately from a Fiix representative. To learn more, see ARP eligibility FAQ.
Once you've purchased Asset Risk Predictor (ARP), we'll start setting it up for you. Most of the steps are completed by a Fiix representative, while others require your input or action.
This article provides a high-level overview of the steps for setting up ARP:

If necessary, you can also customize your risk levels. For example, you could change the definitions so that any scores above 600 are considered high risk. To learn more, see Change risk level definitions for ARP.
After initial setup is complete, you can still add or change the sensors you include in ARP. Once you provide us with the information for the new assets and/or sensors, we'll add them using a similar process to the one outlined below. After 7 days, you'll start to receive risk data for the new assets and sensors.

The number of assets and sensors you can add will depend on which plan you've purchased. To add or change the assets and sensors in ARP, contact your Fiix representative.
Step 1: Enable the feature
After you purchase ARP, the first thing we do is enable the feature in your account. This step will be completed by a Fiix representative.

As part of this setup, we need to create a temporary admin user account in your CMMS. Your Fiix representative will provide more information.
Step 2: Gather information
To complete the rest of the setup, we'll need to collect some information from you about the assets and sensors you want to include, as well as your programmable logic controller (PLC) configuration.
A Fiix representative send you a spreadsheet to fill in with the following information:
- Type (brand) of PLC
- PLC IP address
- Which data collection tool you want to use
- The assets you want to include in ARP
For the sensor inputs, the template also includes fields for the following information:

Step 3: Configure the data collection tool
We'll use the tags and PLC, API, SCADA, or database information you provided to connect with your preferred data collection tool. Once configuration is complete, we will wait for up to an hour for data to start flowing before we proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Create assets and sensors in the CMMS
Your sensor tags now must be mapped to records in the CMMS. You can do this by navigating to Assets > Risk Predictor Settings and clicking the Sensor mapping tab. Here, you can map each sensor tag to a record in the CMMS, as well as specify the parent equipment the sensor belongs to:
You can view the hierarchy of your sensors and equipment in Assets > Equipment:
In the example above, assets A826 to A830 are sensors connected to the Pallet Conveyor.
Step 5: Set up the sensor group score (optional)
While onboarding to Asset Risk Predictor, you might see more false positives than expected if you have frequent operational changes. To help you better identify actual risks during this period, the Sensor group score (Beta) on the ARP asset dashboard displays an overall risk score for all of that asset's sensors. See About the sensor group score to learn more about this feature.
You can set up this feature by adding a sensor called "Sensor group score" to any assets you want to view this value for:
Once this is done, you must contact your Fiix representative to help set up the rest of the feature.
Note
Unlike regular sensors, mapping the "Sensor group score" sensor only involves the "Equipment meter association" table.
Step 6: Automated training
Once the mappings are configured, it takes 7 days to train our algorithms so they can correctly identify risks for your assets. Over these 7 days, each sensor needs to collect data for a minimum of 2400 minutes while its parent equipment is active, or training may take longer. This step is automated and does not require any action from you or your Fiix representative.
On day 8, you can expect to receive your first set of predictions in our dashboards. While these predictions will get you started, they will become significantly more accurate after 30 days the results as the algorithm retrains with a larger dataset.

Step 7: Enable access to ARP
Your Fiix representative will ask you for a list of users who need access to ARP so that we can enable access for them. The number of users you can enable access for depends on which plan you purchased.
