A work order's status indicates where the work order is in your organization's workflow. For example, to close a completed work order, you would set its status to Closed, Complete.
Note
If you change a work order’s status to Closed, Complete without entering completion details, the app auto-populates the completion date and time with the current timestamp and the completion notes with “Completed by”, followed by your name.
To change a work order's status:
- If the work order you want to change the status for isn't already open, click it in the work order list (in Maintenance > Work Orders).
- In the Status drop-down list, select a different status:
