- Change asset status from asset record (use when no work order is associated with the asset)
Change asset status from work order
When setting an asset online or offline through a work order, the work order code is automatically included in the asset status record. Use this process when the work order explains the asset status change (e.g. asset is being set offline due to repair work outlined in the work order).
To set an asset online or offline from a work order:
- In the mobile app, tap work orders (
)
- Tap the work order card that includes the asset:
- Under the Details tab, scroll to the bottom and click the asset:
- Tap the More (...) button
- Tap Update status:
- Add your reason for changing the asset status and include any notes. The system automatically adds the work order number to the asset status record log when changing asset status through a work order:
- If setting the asset online, you can also fill in the downtime field:
- Tap Save.
Change asset status from asset record
All assets, including equipment, facilities, and sites can have their status changed. This procedure allows you to change the asset's status without an associated work order.
To set an asset online or offline from the asset record:
- In the mobile app, tap Assets (
).
- Tap View sub-assets under a site or facility to choose an asset at that location:
- Tap the asset name.
- Under the Details tab, tap the toggle to change the asset status:
- Add your reason for changing the asset's status and add notes in the notes section. If the asset has a work order for its repair, we suggest including the work order code as a note (or changing the asset status through the work order) to include it for your records:
- If setting an asset online, you can also fill in the downtime:
- Tap Save.
