Permissions: Administrators; users with CMMS Settings, Asset Events, Import Asset Events page permissions.
Asset events are events like earthquakes, power outages, or human error that result in assets requiring maintenance.
In Fiix, users set up event types in advance. Then, when the event occurs, a user records the event on an asset, which automatically generates a work order with the necessary tasks.
Asset events require 3 steps:
- Create an asset event type manually or by importing from a spreadsheet.
- Configure the asset event by creating a scheduled maintenance with the event type as a trigger and tasks associated with the event.
- When the event occurs, record the event on an asset.
