Asset events are events like earthquakes, power outages, or human error that result in assets requiring maintenance.
Configure events so that when one is recorded, a work order with the necessary tasks is automatically generated.

Configure asset events
Configuring an asset event means setting up a scheduled maintenance that triggers when the event is recorded. The scheduled maintenance includes the tasks or task groups necessary for completing the work order.
To configure an asset event, you first need to create an asset event type.
- Navigate to Scheduled Maintenance.
- Click New.
- Click the Scheduling tab.
- Click Add new.
- Select Generate Work Order by Event Trigger option.
- Select the event that will trigger this scheduled maintenance.
- Click the Labor Tasks tab.
- Click Add Task or Add a Task Group (if you have a task group that already suits this event).
- Add the tasks or task groups that the event will trigger when it is recorded.
- Fill in the rest of the scheduled maintenance order to include the necessary details.
- Click the toggle from Paused to Running to activate the scheduled maintenance.
- Click Save.
