Menu permissions affecting user management
Menu permissions affect which items users can see and navigate to from the navigation menu:
Menu permissions are found under the Menu Permissions tab when assigning permissions to a user group.
A user assigned to a menu permission but none of its page permissions will be able to see and click the menu item, but nothing will occur.
These permissions are mandatory for performing basic actions in user management:
| Permission | Details |
|---|---|
| Can see 'Settings' top menu item | Allows users to see the Settings menu item in the web app navigation menu. |
| Can see 'Users' menu item | Allows the user to see and click on Users in the web app navigation menu. |
| Can see 'User groups' menu item | Allows the user to see and click on User groups in the web app navigation menu. |
Page permissions affecting user management
Page permissions affect what users can do in all areas of the CMMS.
All of these permissions require the above menu permissions in order for the user to access their features via the navigation menu.

This permission is defunct. This permission used to allow users to change the number of licenses available, which is now available only to Administrators through the Account Settings menu item. |
| User Interface Customization Settings |
|
Allows the user to see the User Interface Customization feature (Settings > Security & Infrastructure). This feature is currently limited, allowing the user to only block and block non-Admin users from changing the interface in the areas of the app where that's possible (such as editing which headers appear in list views, like work orders customize view or user management select visible elements). |
| User Status |
|
Allows the user to change user statuses from Active to Inactive or vice versa using the status toggle on the user details page. This may affect billing and your number of available user licenses. Requires the "User" permission. |
