Before you begin
Permissions are assigned to users via user groups in v5. To grant permissions, assign the user to a user group that has the necessary permissions (Settings > User group > click a user group > Menu or Page tab).

Work orders permissions allow users to view, create, edit, and delete work orders in the web app and mobile app. This also includes adding and managing tasks and task groups in work orders.

Menu permissions affecting work orders
Menu permissions affect which items users can see and navigate to from the navigation menu:
Menu permissions are found under the Menu Permissions tab when assigning permissions to a user group. A user assigned to a menu permission but none of its page permissions will be able to see and click the menu item, but nothing will occur.
These permissions are mandatory for performing basic actions in work orders:

Page permissions affecting work orders
Page permissions affect what users can do in the CMMS.
All of these permissions require the above menu permissions in order for the user to access their features via the navigation menu.
