Enable e-signatures on work orders

Before you begin

  • This feature is only available to customers on our Enterprise tier. To enable this feature for your organization, please contact a Fiix representative.

  • To complete this task, you must be assigned permission to enable e-signatures on work orders. To learn more, see Configure Permissions for E-Signatures.

There are two ways to enable e-signatures on work orders:

  • By enabling it for individual work orders, as described in the steps below.

  • By enabling it for a scheduled maintenance, so that all the work orders it generates automatically have e-signatures enabled. To learn more, see Enable E-Signatures on Scheduled Maintenance.

You don't have to pick only one of these approaches; you can combine them to enable the e-signature feature on all necessary work orders. For example, you could enable it on an individual work order for an unexpected repair of an air conditioner, as well as for all work orders generated for regular maintenance of that same asset.

To enable e-signature on an individual work order:

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Work Orders.

  2. Click the work order you want to change settings for.

  3. Select the Requires Signature checkbox:

  4. Click Save.

Now the mobile app will display the E-Signature section for this work order, allowing users sign it:
