This dashboard provides an overview of a correlated pair of sensors from Asset Risk Predictor:
To be considered a correlated pair, two sensors must have either a strong positive correlation (0.7 and above), meaning that the their readings generally increase and decrease together, or a strong negative correlation (-0.7 and below), meaning that when one sensor’s reading increases, the other’s decreases, and vice versa.
Sensors with weaker correlations will not be displayed as a correlated pair.
Note
While the threshold of 0.7 and -0.7 are currently used to determine a correlated pair, Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) will be used to dynamically adjust this threshold in the future, as sensors with higher noise levels may require a lower threshold for more reliable analysis.
Correlated pairs are displayed as a single entry in the Latest Risk Level by Sensor list on the Asset Risk Predictor dashboard, and have the category "Correlated pair."
Currently, the top two correlated pairs are shown. Clicking the name of the pair will take you to the Correlated Pair Overview Dashboard.
To view the dashboard:
- Go to Assets > Asset Risk Predictor. This opens the Asset Risk Prediction Overview dashboard.
- In the Latest Risk Level section, click the asset you want to view risk predictions for.
- In the drop-down list, click More Details:
The application displays the Asset Risk Predictor dashboard for that asset. - In the Latest Daily Sensor Risk Level section, click the correlated pair you want to view risk data for:
- In the drop-down list, click More Details.
The application displays the Correlated Pair Overview dashboard for that pair.
The first tile displays the names of the sensors in the correlated pair:
The remaining tiles are described in the sections linked below:
- Anomalies and Recommendations
- Correlated Pair Comparison
- Individual Sensor Records
- Sensor Pair Risk History
- Asset Risk History
Anomalies and Recommendations
The Anomalies tile displays the total duration of abnormal correlations from the past 8 hours, while the AI Recommendations tile shows AI-generated recommendations for addressing issues with the asset or sensor based on the pair's correlation:
Correlated Pair Comparison
This tile displays the readings of the correlated pair together on a single graph:
Any instances of high risk (calculated using the usual correlation) are also displayed as a data point on both sensor readings.
Note
To see which sensor is designated as Sensor 1 and Sensor 2 in the graph, see the Sensor Index column in the Individual Sensor Records tile below.
Individual Sensor Records
This tile displays the records for the individual sensors in the correlated pair:
To see the Sensor Risk Overview dashboard for a sensor, click its name, and then More Details.
Sensor Pair Risk History
This tile displays the risk history of the correlated pair, calculated using the pair's usual correlation:
Asset Risk History
This tile displays the risk history for the correlated pair's associated asset:
