Before you begin
Changes to data in your CMMS (such as changing a work order's status) are not reflected in your audit trail immediately. Typically, it takes a few minutes for the changes to appear; in cases where there are a lot of changes to sync, it might take up to an hour.
Plans: Enterprise only
Audience: Administrators
Version: v6 user management (what does this mean?)
To view a change log for your users, user groups, and roles:
- In the feature menu, click Audit Trail:
- Click the User management tab:
- Enter a Start Date and an End Date. These are the dates the app will display changes from:
In the example above, the file would include changes from Feb 14 to 28.Note
The dates you enter must be within 12 months of each other and cannot be more than 30 months in the past.
- (Optional) To refine your results, apply any of the following filters:
- Users: Filters by which user record was changed.
- Event type: Filters by the type of change and type of record that was changed. For example, if you selected GroupCreatedEvent, the file would only include the creation of new user groups.
- Click Download.
The app downloads the audit trail data in a CSV file. To learn what each column and event name mean, see Data dictionary: User management.
Tip
You can use built-in Excel tools to parse the Event Data column so that it’s easier to read. To learn how, see the Parse the Event data column in user management files section in Audit trail use cases.
