This article answers frequently asked questions about scheduled maintenance in Fiix. Use the links below to jump to a specific question:
- Why are no work orders being generated from scheduled maintenance?
- Why does the Next Trigger Threshold column display the same date for multiple triggers?
Why are no work orders being generated from scheduled maintenance?
There are several possible reasons for this behaviour:
- If you're using v6 Equipment, it is currently not possible to generate a work order with a meter reading or event trigger.
- There may be an open work order related to the scheduled maintenance. By default, a scheduled maintenance record will not generate a new work order until the previously generated work order has been closed. You can check for open work orders in the Log tab under Work Orders Created.
If you want to override this rule, you can select the Create a new work order even if there are work orders not closed from this Scheduled Maintenance checkbox: - Meter readings may have been imported with a date or time for a future date. This causes issues with work order triggering.
- A work order has been manually generated prior to a fixed trigger date, and the next trigger schedule hasn't been adjusted.
- It can take up to 30 minutes for scheduled maintenance to generate a work order, meaning that your work order could be generated up to 30 minutes after the trigger has been set off.
Why does the Next Trigger Threshold column display the same date for multiple triggers?
The Next Trigger Threshold column in a scheduled maintenance's Scheduling tab displays the date for the nearest threshold among all the time-based triggers in the SM, not the nearest threshold for the specific trigger.
Why is my generated work order not displayed in the list of assigned work orders?
If the Start As Work Order Status is not set to a status that belongs to the Active control, then the generated work order will not display in the list of assigned work orders. You can open your work order filters to view which statuses belong to each control:
How should skipped SMs be dealt with for shutdowns?
For record-keeping, we recommend that you create a status in the Closed control such as Skipped, Shutdown, and bulk edit any work orders skipped during the shutdown to assign them this status.
