Delete a custom field

In this article:

• Delete a custom field via Settings (Professional plans only)
• Delete a custom field via Data Dictionary (Enterprise plans only)

Delete a custom field via Settings

Only users on Professional plans can delete a custom field using Settings. 

To delete a custom field:

1. Navigate to Settings > CMMS Settings.
2. Click the Custom Fields tab:
   
3. Hover over the item to delete and click the trash can icon:
   
4. Click OK to finish deleting the field:
   

Delete custom fields using Data Dictionary

Deleting a custom field using the Data Dictionary requires an Enterprise plan.

1. Navigate to Settings > Data Dictionary.
2. Click the table that the custom field appears in. For example, if the custom field is for assets, click tblAsset.
3. Hover over the item to delete and click the trash can icon:
   
4. Click OK to finish deleting the field:
