Before you begin
This article only refers to files attached to parts. Files attached to work orders and assets can always be viewed and do not require any enablement.
Deleting files requires a separate permission to be enabled. To learn more, see Enable deleting files in the mobile app.
When this feature is enabled, users can view the files attached to a part.
To do this:
- In the web app, navigate to Settings > User Groups.
- Click the user group you want to enable access for.

Click the API Permissions tab:
- Scroll down and select the checkbox in the Find column for File and FileContents:
- Click Save.
- Repeat steps 2-5 for any additional user groups who need to access files for parts.
