Before you begin
After you complete an inspection task, you will not be able to edit or delete that task. You will also be unable to delete the work order it is associated with, as well as any generated follow-on work orders.
Version: v6 (what does this mean?)
Plans: Basic (only if previously upgraded from Free)
Once you have completed an inspection task, you can mark it as completed and specify whether its result was a pass or fail. You can do this in one of two ways:
- Complete an inspection task via the Actions menu
- Complete an inspection task in the list, which allows you to complete multiple inspection tasks for the work order at once.
Complete an inspection task via the Actions menu
You may want to use the Actions menu if you only need to complete one inspection task at a time.
To complete an inspection task via the Actions menu:
- In Maintenance > Work Orders, click the work order with the tasks you want to complete.
- Click the Tasks tab.
- In the Actions column for the task you want to complete, click the ellipses button.
- Click Complete:
- Under Inspection task results, select Pass, Fail, or N/A (available only if N/A has been enabled):
After selecting an option, the following fields will be automatically populated:
- The Completed by field is populated with your name.
- The Date and time completed field is populated with today's date.
You can edit these fields manually if these values are different.
- (Optional) Enter the amount of time spent on the task.
- Enter any notes in the Completion notes field. This is required if your result is a fail.
- Click Save.
Note
After you complete an inspection task, you will not be able to edit or delete that task. You will also be unable to delete the work order it is associated with, as well as any generated follow-on work orders.
- Click Yes, complete task.

You can edit these fields manually if these values are different.
- Fill out the fields as needed.
