Before you begin
If you're using v6 Equipment, it is currently not possible to generate a work order with a meter reading or event trigger.
Permissions: Access to scheduled maintenance
There are a number of inspection tasks that need to be performed by forklift operators before every shift. You can set this up as a scheduled maintenance record with five time-based triggers, one for each weekday.
To do this:
- In Maintenance > Scheduled Maintenance, click Create.
- Select the asset, the maintenance type (preventive), and enter any other information as needed:
- Navigate to the Labor Tasks tab.
- Add the necessary tasks or task groups. Your task list may look like the following:
- Navigate to the Scheduling tab.
- Select any of the triggers fire under Generate Work Order When:
- Click the Add (
)button in the bottom left of the triggers list:
- Make sure Generate Work Order By Time Schedule is selected.
- Select Daily, enter "1" in the Days field, and select Fixed.
- Specify your start date, trigger time, and whether you'd like to create a work order on the start date. Your trigger may look like the following:
- Click OK.
- Click Save in the top menu bar.
- Toggle on the scheduled maintenance record so that it says Running:
Your scheduled maintenance is now active, and will generate a work order with the checklist every day.
