Before you begin
Version: v5 (what does this mean?)
Plans: Professional, Enterprise
Multi-asset scheduled maintenance will generate multi-asset work orders. There are two ways to create a multi-asset scheduled maintenance record:
- Create it in Maintenance > Scheduled Maintenance (ideal for scheduled maintenance with less assets)
- Create it in Assets (ideal for scheduled maintenance with more assets)
Creating the record in Assets allow you to choose multiple assets right away, while you have to add assets one at a time in Scheduled Maintenance.
You can always add more assets to your scheduled maintenance record after it is created.
Note
Only assets in the same site can be added to a scheduled maintenance record.
Create a record in Scheduled Maintenance
This method is better suited for records that have two or three assets. To create multi-asset scheduled maintenance in Scheduled Maintenance:
- In Maintenance > Scheduled Maintenance, click New:
- If you have multiple sites, select the site you would like to create the record in.
- In the Asset field, select an asset.
- (Optional) If your assets will be sharing tasks, create these tasks in the Labor Tasks tab.
- Click Add another asset:
- Select an asset:
- (Optional) In the Copy Tasks From Asset field, select the asset which is already on the scheduled maintenance record to copy all of its existing tasks to the new asset.
Skip this step if you skipped step 4. - Click OK.
- Repeat steps 5-7 as needed.
- Enter other information in the record as needed.
For more about creating a scheduled maintenance record, see here. - Click Save in the top menu bar.
Your scheduled maintenance record is created and saved.
Create a record in Assets
This method is better if you want to create a record with more than two or three assets. To create multi-asset scheduled maintenance in Assets:
- Navigate to Assets > All Assets or whichever asset list is most convenient for finding the assets you want on the scheduled maintenance record (e.g. Equipment).
Filter the list as needed. For example, you may want to filter by asset category. - Select the assets you want to add to the new scheduled maintenance record:
- In the top menu bar, click More, and then Add To New SM:
- Click OK.
Your scheduled maintenance record is created.
