Create a custom data table to be used with custom drop-down lists (custom fields with the Link type). A custom table allows you to create your own set of options to select from in a list.
Use this feature when you want to track information that doesn't exist in any of the default data tables. For example, you could create a table for the condition of your assets.
To do this:
- Navigate to Settings > Data Dictionary, and click New:
- After entering a name (e.g. tblAssetCondition) and a label (e.g. Asset Condition), click Save, and then click Add New to add a new field to the table.
- Enter the name, label, and type for the field and click OK:
- Under Field for labeling, select the newly created field, click Save, and then click Maintenance:
5. Click New to add fields to the table.
6. Add the drop-down selections for the new table, and click OK.
7. Repeat the two steps above, until the number of selectable field criteria has been reached. Selecting Maintenance will display the rows for additional modifications.
8. Click Save when completed.

9. The new custom table can now be linked to a work order form. For instructions on adding a customized table to a Work Order form, please see Add a Custom Drop Down Field/Table To a Work Order Form and Reposition.
