Before you begin
Version: v5 (what does this mean?)
Plans: All plans. However, inspection tasks are only available for Basic, Professional, and Enterprise plans.
Tasks represent a checklist of actions that need to be completed on your work order. For example, if you need a technician to replace a wheel and check for damage, you could add these as tasks.
There are four types of tasks, as described below:
Task type |
Icon in task list |
Description |
---|---|---|
General |
None |
A regular task that does not require any additional information about its results. |
Text |
Includes a text box below the Result column in the task list. This type is useful for tasks that may require additional information about their results. |
|
Meter reading |
Includes an editable field in the Result column for a meter reading. You can also edit this field in the Result section of the task form. You can specify which unit to use for the meter reading when editing or creating the task. |
|
Inspection |
Allows you to enter a result (pass, fail, or N/A) when the task is completed. You can also configure inspection tasks to send out a notification or create a follow-on work order upon specified results. Only available for Basic, Professional, and Enterprise plans. |
