This article includes the following ways to view parts:
- Search for and view parts
- View part details in an asset's bill of materials (BOM)
- View part details by scanning
Search for and view parts
When you search for parts in the mobile app, the system returns results that match:
- Name
- Code
- Location
- Inventory code
- Description
- Make
- Model number
The system only matches your search terms to these fields; it does not look at other fields when finding search results. The search is not case-sensitive, so capitals will not affect your search results.
To view or search parts:
- In the mobile app, tap More (
).
- Tap Parts to see all parts (at locations you have access to):
- Tap Search (
).
- Enter your search terms.
View part details in an asset's bill of materials (BOM)
View parts associated with an asset's bill of materials (BOM) by navigating to the BOM tab of the asset.
- Navigate to Assets (
) and tap the asset you want to view the BOM for.
- Tap the BOM tab.
- Tap a part in the list to view its details:
View part details by scanning
Users can view a part and its details by scanning the part's QR code or barcode. To set up QR codes and barcodes, see Print QR code asset tags.
To scan a part:
- In the mobile app, tap Scan (
).
- Scan the part's QR code or barcode to pull up its details.
