Before you begin
Asset Risk Predictor must be purchased separately from a Fiix representative. To learn more, see ARP eligibility FAQ.
Fiix ARP enables two work order tools:
- Risk-based work orders, work orders that are generated upon certain risk-related conditions
- Prescriptive work orders, a type of risk-based work order that contains AI-generated content
Risk-based work orders
Risk-based work orders are generated automatically when:
- There was a high risk score for any hour in the past day, or
- There was a medium risk score for 3 consecutive hours or 6 total hours in the past day
After a risk-based work order is closed, the next risk-based work order for that asset will only be generated when at least two days have passed and the risk score satisfies either above condition again.
This feature can be set up by users.
Prescriptive work orders
By default, a risk-based work order will be blank. However, if you have Fiix Prescriptive Maintenance activated, your risk-based work order’s summary, work instructions, and labor tasks will be populated automatically using data from your CMMS:
These AI-populated risk-based work orders are called prescriptive work orders. The information here is populated in one of two ways:
- Using data from your CMMS, such as manuals, work instructions, tasks, and completion notes. This option requires that you upload at least one document to the asset record, or that the asset has at least one closed work order from the past year.
- With generic data based on the asset and sensor descriptions. This option allows you to use prescriptive maintenance work orders even if you don’t meet the data requirements listed above. However, it does require that the descriptions contain the name of the specific asset or sensor, so that the tool can identify them. For example, “Marangoni Strip Winder” would work for identifying an asset, but “STRP-02” wouldn’t.
Note
The appropriate option is selected based on the data requirements listed above. In other words, you don’t need to specify which option you want to use.
If the medium or high risk continues to exist after the work order is generated, the work order's information will be updated every 8 hours. After the work order is closed, the next prescriptive work order for that asset will only trigger when at least two days have passed and the risk score satisfies either trigger condition again.
Once it’s set up for your organization, prescriptive work orders can start generating work orders the following day. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that your first prescriptive maintenance work order will be generated right away. Instead, it will be created when Asset Risk Predictor identifies a risk that needs to be actioned.
