Before you begin
Asset Risk Predictor must be purchased separately from a Fiix representative. To learn more, see ARP eligibility FAQ.
Fiix Prescriptive Maintenance uses generative AI technology to extend the capabilities of Asset Risk Predictor and simplify the process of addressing the risks it identifies. It automatically creates a work order if:
- There was a high risk score for any hour in the past day, or
- There was a medium risk score for 3 consecutive hours or 6 total hours in the past day
Note
If an asset already has open work orders, it won't create a new one. To start generating prescriptive maintenance work orders for an asset, you must first close its existing work orders.
When it creates a prescriptive maintenance work order, it automatically populates the the summary, work instructions, and labor tasks using data from your CMMS:
The tool populates this information in one of two ways:
- Using data from your CMMS, such as manuals, work instructions, tasks, and completion notes. This option requires that you upload at least one document to the asset record, or that the asset has at least one closed work order from the past year.
- With generic data based on the asset and sensor descriptions. This option allows you to use Fiix Prescriptive Maintenance even if you don’t meet the data requirements listed above. However, it does require that the descriptions contain the name of the specific asset or sensor, so that the tool can identify them. For example, “Marangoni Strip Winder” would work for identifying an asset, but “STRP-02” wouldn’t.
Note
Fiix Prescriptive Maintenance automatically selects the appropriate option based on the data requirements listed above. In other words, you don’t need to specify which option you want to use.
Once it’s set up for your organization, Fiix Prescriptive Maintenance can start generating work orders the following day. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that your first prescriptive maintenance work order will be generated right away. Instead, it will be created when Asset Risk Predictor identifies a risk that needs to be actioned.
