This mobile release (1.53.0) includes the following changes to the mobile app for Android and iOS:
Work order filters updates
In this release, we’ve updated the behavior and display of work order filters to better align with how users are navigating work orders in the mobile app. Mobile users can apply filters when searching work orders to limit and remove options from the results.
Summary of changes to work order filters:
- Added View all work orders filter for users with work order administration permissions. An active internet connection is required to see all work orders. To see work orders offline, the user has to be assigned to them or be in a user group assigned to the work order.
- Removed All active work orders filter for users that had work order administration permissions. To view all active work orders, users can view all work orders and then filter by status.
- Removed My team’s work filter. (Previously, only users without the work order administration permission had access to this filter.)
- Changed how work order results appear in list view after searching.
- Changed the maximum number of work orders displayed to have no maximum limit. Previously, the limit was 7000 work orders.
- Changed how work order status filters are displayed. Now visible status filters dynamically adjust to show only status filters that the user has access to, based on their permissions. For example, the Requested status filter is only visible to users with the work order administration permission, and the Closed status filter appears in My work orders offline mode only when a work order has been closed during the offline session.
- Changed work order selection so that any applied filters, including filters applied by default, appear clearly at the top of the filtered selection.
- Changed how work order results are displayed when sorted by default. Work orders are shown by last modified (most recent first) by default. Previously, work order results were ordered by suggested completion date (soonest first). This work supports an upcoming release (1.55.0), which will add more sort options for work orders.
Work order search update
Searching work orders now returns results that finds a direct match of each searched word, regardless of word order. Previously, searching work orders returned only results that matched exact spelling and word order.
Searching work orders finds direct word matches in the following fields only:
- Work order code
- Work order description
- Asset location
- Assignee (work order level)
- Asset(s) attached to the work order
Sync update
Users can now pull down on the work orders list when at the top of the list to refresh the view and check for updates ("pull to refresh"). Searching work orders and applying a new filter to a search also refreshes the app. Sync only works in when connected to the internet.
