Before you begin
The steps below are for prompting an individual user to reset their password. If you want to automatically prompt users to reset their passwords after a certain number of days, you can set a password policy.
Version: v6 (what does this mean?)

Prompt a password reset
Admins and users with the Edit users system role permission can prompt a user to reset their password at any time. After sending the prompt, users can reset their password the next time they log in.
To reset a user's password:
- Navigate to Settings > Users.
- In the row for the user whose password you want to reset, click the Actions (...) button:
- In the drop-down list, click Reset Password:
- The app displays a success message showing that the user will be prompted to reset their password the next time they log in:
Change a user's password (some configurations)
Some users working with an older, alternate configuration have a different process for changing passwords (username-only setups).
In username-only setups, users aren't configured with email addresses, and so password reset emails can't be sent. In these cases, Admins can directly change passwords on the user details page. Non-Admin users may be able to see Change Password button, but trying to change the password will result in an error.
- Navigate to Settings > Users and click the user to edit.
- Click Change Password.
- Input the new password and click Save.
