Before you begin
Audience: Administrators. Also, users with the "Create system roles" system role permission can create new roles, but require the "Edit system roles" permission to edit previously-created system roles details, and require the "Edit users" permission to assign users to system roles.

System roles are permission sets that give users different kinds of access to the CMMS. Using system roles allow administrators to standardize permissions or edit permissions in bulk by creating system roles and adding users to those roles.
To create a new system role:
- Navigate to Settings > System roles.
- Click Create.
- In the message that appears, click Create New:
- Enter a name and (optional) description for the role.
- Click Save.
Now that you've created the role, you can configure the permissions associated with it. Once you've finished setting up the permissions, you can start assigning the role to users.
Tip
If you want to create a new role with similar permissions as another role, copy the role instead.
