Version: v6 (what does this mean?)
Plans: All plans
Logging work against tasks allows you to keep track of how much time you've spent working on it. For example, if you're going to be working on a task a few different times over the course of a few days, you could log each day's work on the task.
To log work against a task:
- In Maintenance > Work Orders, click the work order with the task you want to log work against.
- Click the Tasks tab.
- In the Logged Work column for the task you want to log work against, click the Manage link:
- To change which user or user group the logged work is assigned to (i.e. which user or user group did the work you're logging):
- In the Assigned To field, click the Change button.
- Click the user or user group you want to assign the logged work to.
- Click Save.
- In the Time Spent fields, enter how many hours and/or minutes were spent on the task.
Tip
If you need to enter more time than the fields allow, you can log part of it now, and then repeat these steps to log the rest separately.
- Click Save.
