You can add notifications to a work order so that certain users or user groups are notified at specific stages of the work order. Each notification can only correspond to one user or user group.
To add a notification to a work order:
- If the work order you want to add a notification to isn’t already open, click it in the work order list (in Maintenance > Work Orders).
- Click the Notifications tab.
- Do one of the following:
- If this is your first notification on this work order, click the Add your first notification button:
- If there are already notifications on this work order, click Add:
- If this is your first notification on this work order, click the Add your first notification button:
- In the User or user group field, click Add and select the user or user group receiving notifications for this work order:
- Select the checkboxes for the events the user or user groups will be notified on.
You can notify users for the following events:
Event Description Work order assignment Users are notified when the work order is assigned. Work order status change Users are notified when the status of the work order is changed. Work order closure Users are notified when the work order is closed. Task completion Users are notified when a task is completed on the work order. - Click Save.
