In this release, we’ve added a new page permission for deleting parts on work orders.
This functionality was previously controlled by the existing Has ‘Save’ Button On The ‘Work Order Administration’ page permission, meaning that users who had edit permissions automatically had delete permissions as well. These are now separate permissions, allowing more granularity when configuring access to parts on work orders.
Note
After this update, the new delete parts permission is disabled by default for all user groups except administrators, and must be activated as needed.
To activate this permission for a user group:
- Navigate to a user group in CMMS Settings > User Groups.
- Click the Page Permissions tab.
- In the drop-down menu, select Work Order Parts.
- Select the Has 'Delete' Button On The 'Work Order Parts' Page checkbox. Make sure that Can Access The 'Work Order Parts' Page is also selected.
