Before you begin
Asset Risk Predictor must be purchased separately from a Fiix representative. To learn more, see ARP eligibility FAQ.
You must send us the necessary sensor information (described in step 2 here) before the tags will be available to map. If a tag isn't showing up on the Sensor mapping tab, verify that it was included in the file you provided.
Required permissions: See Enable access to Asset Risk Predictor. To use filters, you must be assigned either a user or creator seat in Analytics.
Sensors capture the information that Asset Risk Predictor (ARP) needs to assess risks. Depending on your ARP configuration, these might not be actual sensors; they could instead be data tags that represent the machine and process data you want to capture, such as measurements, calculations, ratios, and fault codes.
Before ARP can start training with sensor data, your sensors need to be mapped to their associated records in the CMMS. This includes:
- a record to represent the sensor, and
- a record to represent the the sensor's parent equipment (i.e. the equipment that the sensor belongs to)
Note
Although you can create a sensor record in the Sensor mapping tab (described below) you cannot create a new record for the parent equipment on this tab.
To learn how to create an equipment record, see the Create equipment section in Basic setup: Assets.
To map a sensor:
- Navigate to Assets > Risk Predictor Settings.
- Click the Sensor mapping tab.
- Click the Actions menu in the row for the sensor you want to map.
- Click Edit mapping:
- In the Parent equipment field, click Add:
- Select the parent equipment record (i.e. the equipment the sensor belongs to).
- Click Add:
- In the Sensor name field, click Add:
- If you already have a record in your CMMS for this sensor, select it in the list and then skip to step 11.
- If you need to create a new record for this sensor:
- Click Create sensor:
- Enter a name and code for the sensor.
- (Optional) Enter a description for the sensor.
- Click Save:
- Click Create sensor:
- Click Save:
- Repeat steps 3-11 for any other sensors you need to map.
Tip
You can follow the same steps to re-map existing sensors. For example, you might need to re-map a sensor if you selected the wrong record by mistake or if you've moved the sensor from one piece of equipment to another.
