Before you begin
v6 work orders currently does not support v6 regions (and vice versa).
Only the Access Control portion of this release has been released to customers. The regions release is for functionality only. This feature will be released to customers on a rolling basis in the future.
In this release, we've changed the UI of the Access Control page for users in v6 user management. Under the User groups tab, users will now see the Access header. This header shows the sites and regions in which they have user group assignments:
We've also added functionality for regions in multi-site tenants using v6 user management. This hasn't been deployed for customers.
Regions help organize sites by geography. With regions, users can add regions, edit region details, filter by region on the user list page, and assign users to user groups in specific regions. Administrators and users with the "Edit users" system role permission can manage regions and users' region assignments in v6.
Users can't be assigned to different user groups in a region and its direct child region (ex. Manager in Canada and Technician in Toronto). This results in a region permission conflict.
