Overview
We understand that in some cases, the user who sets up the account or who is responsible for the account, i.e the account owner, can move on to a different role or job. When this happens it is recommended to contact your account manager immediately to change account ownership.
Scenario 1: Assign a New Account Owner within an organization
Removing an Account Owner and assigning a new one can be done by a Fiix Technician. Please provide the required information from one of the options below and email it to support@fiixsoftware.com
- If the individual that signed up for the service can still be contacted he/she can provide written consent indicating the new Account owner’s full name and email address.
- If the individual that signed up for the service can not be contacted written consent is required from an individual of authority from the company that owns the CMMS. An officer of the company must request the admin user swap using the official company email.
Scenario 2: The individual that signed up for the service used a personal email address, such as Gmail or Outlook
Removing an Account Owner and assigning a new one can be done by a Fiix Technician. If the admin user used their own personal Gmail/Hotmail etc when signing up, then they own the account and the service contract is between them and Fiix.
Options
- If the individual that signed up for the service can still be contacted he/she can provide written consent via email, transitioning the account over to the new user, indicating the new account owner’s full name and email address.
- If the individual that signed up for the service, signed up with a personal email, and refuses to hand over ownership of the account, the company must send a company credit card statement showing the CMMS subscription was paid for using a company credit card. If so, then the company owns the account and the transition can be completed.
- If the individual that signed up for the service used their personal gmail, and personal credit card, and refuses to hand over ownership, they own the account. The company can discuss options with Fiix customer success.
