Delete roles (v6)

Before you begin

The system-default roles of Manager and Technician can’t be deleted, but can be renamed. 

Audience: Administrators and users with the "Delete system roles" system role permission.

Version: v6 (what does this mean?)

A role can be deleted if:

  • It has no users assigned to it.
  • It is not a system-default role like Manager or Technician (Administrators also cannot be deleted).

To delete a role:

  1. Click the Actions menu (...) of the role you want to delete:

  2. Click Delete.
  3. Confirm by clicking Delete.

To delete multiple roles (bulk delete):

  1. Select the checkbox of the roles you want to delete.
  2. Click the Actions dropdown menu button in the floating action bar:

  3. Click Delete.
  4. Click Delete in the confirmation pop-up to confirm.
